Jocelyn got some lucky money from Grandpa and Grandma Giron in celebration of Lunar New Year so we got her a tutu and some "dancing shoes" that she loves! We also got her some Dora underwear, but I don't think she'll be using those any time soon.

Indoor fun
When it's cold outside, we try to take Joss to fun indoor places. We just discovered the giant food toy area at the Cherry Creek Mall. Joss loves it and she happily played there for an hour! We ate pretzels and Cinnabon to pass the time . . .
A giant cereal bowl.

Potpourri
Here are a few pictures from Christmas in California. The weather was great and it was wonderful to go to the park without being all bundled up. We even got to go to the beach and Jocelyn was so mad when we had to leave the sand and the waves.
Here is Joss in her new Dora pj's. I really don't know why she looks so serious.
Joss is examining Trent with her stethoscope while he tries to snuggle with his favorite Dora blanket, ha!
Joss and her friend Pearl at the zoo. This picture was taken just seconds before Joss pushed her down because she wanted the rope to herself. I hope she goes through this bully phase really quickly!

Happy New Year
Cheers for 2010! Things I am looking forward to this year: Spring and Summer. They are so close, yet so far. While we are waiting for the snow to melt, here are some pictures that warm my heart.
Sledding with her buddy Shelby
Sharing toys with Xena
Some of her artwork
Snoozing with her favorite blankie and Hello Kitty
Princess Joss
Just being cute
I swear this isn't punishment. She really likes to play in the crate.
More playing
Playing in the house Trent fashioned out of cardboard boxes
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

Cute things Joss has said that I don't want to forget
Making her first snowman: It's a baby. She needs a mommy snowman.
Looking at pictures on the computer: Where's Mimi? I'll find her with my spotting scope. There she is!
Regarding a stain: It's an ow-ie on my jeans.
When mom is frantic one day: What's the matter with you? Are you okay?
When it's dark outside: I need 'noculars to see in the dark.
She knows the magic word (from Dora): Por favor!!
In her crib, first words of the day: Diego! I need a knife! To open my present.
And here are some lines she must have picked up from Dora & Diego:
It sure is dark in here . . . Xena's headed for my tent!
When confronted about drawing in mom's notebooks: It's a snake trail!

Random pics
Some of these pictures are a little old, oops.
Playing in the kitchen. Jocelyn likes to play in there while we are cooking or cleaning up. She has discovered measuring spoons which she loves to try to eat with.
Playing in the play room. Okay it is actually a sun room and it is usually freezing cold or boiling hot, but she loves it.
Putting jewelry on Roxy. She loves the cat so much more than the cat loves her.
Cute elephant in City Park, aka duck poop park. The poop is all over the place on the sidewalks and grass, but at least the toys were spared.
Watching TV. This is not a posed picture. Jocelyn loves to be comfy on the bean bag while she is watching her favorite shows - Dora and Diego. She loves the shows so much that she smiles at the TV.
Joss' rain dance
Making the ducks swim in the sink
Playing in Stapleton. Aah, I am dreaming of next summer already!

The maple tree
We have been in Denver for four months and have experienced three seasons already. Autumn was by far the shortest due to the early snow storms we have had. I told Trent that Halloween and snow do not belong in the same sentence and he said that's because I grew up in California. I do enjoy the seasons changing here, but I just wish that winter would hurry up and end.
